RECEPTION:    
Sunday, July 12 - 12noon - 3pm

 

AWARDS:           
Awards Presentation: Sunday, July 26 at 3pm

 

PICK-UP:            
After Awards Presentation - A $5.00 FEE WILL BE CHARGED FOR ANY WORK NOT REMOVED AT THIS TIME, UNLESS PRIOR ARRANGEMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE WITH THE CO-CHAIRS.

 

ELIGIBILITY:  
• Each artist may submit two pieces.

• Members will be charged $5.00 per piece

• Non-Members will be charged $10.00 per piece (You may join MAC at time of entry, and be charged $5.00 for each piece of artwork.)

• Artists may submit 2 ORIGINAL entries - no copies of published art/photos or derived from other artist’s photographs, books, videos, or artwork.

 

LIMITS:              
ALL PICTURES MUST BE SUITABLY AND TASTEFULLY FRAMED AND WIRED WITH BRAIDED WIRE ONLY.  NO EXCEPTIONS.  STRING, WIRE OR SAW TOOTH HANGERS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE.

• Chair persons have the right to reject poorly presented work.

• Sculpture must be properly mounted and able to be moved easily and safely.

• Entry blanks must be filled out LEGIBLY at delivery time and attached properly. Our show tags are made from these entry forms.

• ALL ENTRIES MUST REMAIN FOR THE ENTIRE EXHIBITION.  Early removal will cause forfeiture of  any prizes that were awarded. 

• Artwork is uninsured.  You enter at your own risk, although the utmost care will  be taken in handling artwork.

 

SALES:                
• All work must be priced or labeled “Not for Sale”

• A commission will be charged on all sales of 20% for Members and 30% for Non-Members.

• All checks will be made out to the artist, minus the commission.

If an artwork sells, the artist must fill out a W9 in order to be paid.

 

PRIZES MAY BE AWARDED IN THE FOLLOWING CATEGORIES:  *
Painting (Oil, Acrylic, Pastel)                      1st $30, 2nd $25, 3rd $20

Watercolor and Gouache                           1st $30, 2nd $25, 3rd $20

Sculpture                                                1st $30, 2nd $25, 3rd $20

Graphic (Drawings, Collage, Photography)     1st $30, 2nd $25, 3rd $20

 

SPECIAL AWARDS:
Best in Show - $50

Robert Greenleaf  Memorial Award for Excellence in any medium - $25

No Bare Walls Award for Excellence in Surrealism - $25        

Grace Forbes  Memorial Award for Excellence in Watercolor - $25
Anna Finore Memorial Award for Excellence in Painting - $25 

Honorable Mention (non-cash)

 

*  Conditions for determination of prizes:

Must have 10 or more works in a category for awards of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd

If there are only eight or nine works in a category, awards for 1st and 2nd only.

If there are only four to seven works in a category,  only 1st prize will be awarded.

No prize for a category with three or fewer pieces.

 

You can join MAC when dropping off your artwork and pay only $5 per piece instead of $10. If you join in July, you will get a bonus of 3 extra months added onto your membership. You will also pay only 20% commission on works sold from the juried show instead of 30%. You also will enjoy other amenities of being a member of MAc including the annual October members show, use of the upstairs studio and an opportunity to join the Manayunk Art Center Co-op, which will allow you to show in the Co-op exhibitions.
